Hull Bay Beach

Northside, St. Thomas

Hull Bay beach is my favorite beach on the entire island of St. Thomas. It was a wonderful atmosphere of people, both locals and tourists, hanging out and having a good time. Locals even have their boats moored out in the bay at buoys making it a cool site to look out and see all the boats. There are always people coming and going which makes for interesting viewing from the beach as people bring back their catches of the day or go out wakeboarding. Also on the beach are two bars / restaurants to choose from for drink and food options. There's the Shack where you can get awesome fish tacos and frozen drinks. And then there's my favorite, Nomads, where you can get delicious chicken wings and of course the locals choice of beer Heineken.

Hull Bay is also a wonderful place for swimming and snorkeling. Along the right side of the beach near the rocks you can swim all the way out to the point and see all sorts of corals, fish, and other sea life. It's a long swim to the point so be prepared, but you definitely don't need to swim that far to see all the cool things there are to see. When swimming you can definitely swim all around the boats through the buoy field which is a cool experience. Just make sure to keep an eye out for boats coming and going and stay away from swimming directly around the boat ramp.
